Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is currently searching for a Registration Coordinator, Experience Assessment to join our team in Burnaby on a contract until the end of June 2027. 

The Registration Coordinator, Experience Assessment is responsible for supporting the administration of experience-related evaluation programs; advising applicants and other stakeholders on policies and procedures; providing support staff services to relevant volunteer committees; and processing applications through the registration process for both engineering and geoscience applicants.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

  • Manages application dashboard to identify recently-received validated competency reports and completes a staff-level preliminary review providing relevant feedback to applicants, when required.
  • Coordinates the assignment of appropriately qualified volunteer assessors for competency assessments for all applications and engages with volunteers to support their work. 
  • Following receipt of completed assessments, enters the recommendations into relevant committee, sub-committee or panel agendas, where applicable, along with supporting documentation. 
  • Communicates with applicants the outcome of the relevant committee, sub-committee or panel meetings and provides guidance regarding next steps. 
  • Provides support to the Registration Interview Program. This may include activities such as scheduling interviews, chairing interviews, providing guidance and support to interview candidates and panel members, and applicant case entries for the Credentials Committee.
  • Participates in shared department team functions such as: 
    •    Responding to emails and calls received through Registration Reception
    •    Scanning mail and properly cataloguing application-related documentation 
    •    Verifying, processing, and uploading electronic transcripts
    •    Generating and mailing registrant certificates
    •    Data entry/data clean-up 
    •    Providing support at reception
  • Other duties as assigned by direct leader and, as appropriate, members of the departmental leadership team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

  • 3-5 years of relevant previous experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including managing multiple competing priorities and adapting quickly to emerging priorities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in core office programs and organization-specific software.
  • Ability to apply privacy policy, records security, and document management protocols.

This role offers a competitive compensation and benefits program including an annual salary within our hiring range of $62,000 to $69,500 (pro-rated based on the length of contract). For full-time contract employees on this length of contract, we offer:

  • 8% additional pay in lieu of benefits.

  • 10 vacation days per annum (pro-rated based on the length of contract). 

  • A flex day program offering additional paid days off (usually alternating Fridays) as a result of a compressed work week. 

  • A hybrid work model with an assigned schedule confirming days worked remotely and days worked in-office. This role will be required to work in-office a minimum of 2 days per week during regular business operations.  

  • The required tools, equipment, and technology for employees to work remotely are provided. 

  • Free parking at the office, or a transit reimbursement offered to employees who take transit to work; we are centrally located near bus and Skytrain stops.
